COKC ANNOUNCEMENTS
 

  • AUGUST PICNIC AUG 16, 2010

    Time:  6:30 pm

    Place: McNamara Park, Westerville, Ohio

    Directions - The Park is behind the Genoa Township Fire/Police building
    at the corner of Rt 3 and Big Walnut Rd. Turn east on Big Walnut and
    then immeditately turn left on the accrss road behind the Township
    buildings... it leads right to the park.

    Please bring a dish to share.  This could be an entrée, salad, veggie or
    dessert.  You might want to bring a lawn chair. You can also bring a
    spouse or friend to enjoy this annual summer outing.

    COKC will supply the meat, drinks and table service.

    There will be an auction.  Please bring your item wrapped in newspaper
    or a bag, etc.  Please no gag gifts.  Brags will be free.

    PLEASE no dogs!

  • Congratulations to the 2009 Central Ohio Kennel Club Scholarship Winner, Maria Neff of Greenville, OH.

    The Central Ohio Kennel Club, Inc. offers a $1,000.00 youth award
    for persons under the age of 21.

    Qualifications for Eligibility

        1. Competing in AKC sanctioned events e.g. conformation, obedience,
             agility, tracking or any combination of events.
        2. Youth be under the age of twenty-one (21).
        3. Submission of a 300-400 word essay on your involvement in dog
            competition. Include at the top of your essay, your age, name, address and
            telephone number with the area code. NO PICTURES PLEASE. Winners
            will be chosen from all eligible entries. The COKC Scholarship Committee
            will make the final decision. All entries must be received by December 27,
            2010. The winner will be announced in January 2011.

  • The Central Ohio breeders' directory lists the breeders in this area who may have puppies or grown dogs for sale.
  • Local and breed-specific rescue sites are listed for those who want to rescue an unwanted dog or puppy.
  • Members of COKC participate in offering training classes to the public on their own or through other groups.
  • Several members of COKC are professional dog show handlers.


COKC dog shows are held twice a year in November and April.

  • The meetings are usually scheduled at a restaurant on the third Monday of each month, with dinner off the menu at 6:30 PM and the meeting starting at 7:30.
